Home-based: Triangles into Designs

A basic geometric shape, such as the triangle, has infinite possibilities. just look at Tessellation - It does show that Mathematics and Art go hand in hand.

How?
A good way to start is to draw three large triangles across the piece of paper.
From there, start dividing and splitting ONE triangle into many smaller ones.
When done, choose your favourite colours and fill in each triangle.

Observational Drawing from black and white photograph

many of my students do not always "see" what is in front of them. So, observational exercise can be challenging. while they connect to the object and it meaning, image drawn tend to be an icon or symbol.

I always find exercise like this helpful and clear because two person are looking at the same thing: to explain shape or form, depth, or scale is relative easier.

a key rule: no erasing!! they have a choice, either draw over or start on a new piece (in which case, we number the paper instead if discarding it)
